IPOB claims Federal Government plans to kill Biafra activist Nnmadi Kalu

Nnmadi Kanu
The Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed that there is a plot in place by the federal government, Department of State Security, three south east governors and some National Assembly members to eliminate its leader and director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

According to the group, the alleged plan would be carried out on Kanu’s way to his next court meeting, Vanguard reports. This was contained in a statement signed by its media and publicity officer, Emma Powerful.

The statement read: “The meeting where the plot was perfected had top notches of All Progressives Congress (APC), three governors from the south east and some senators from the same zone and some well-known enemies of the actualization of Biafra project.

“The plan was perfected in the meeting and designed to be carried out by a killer squad who will open fire on the vehicle as he is being taken to court.”

A week ago, another pro-Biafra group, the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) expressed concern over the silence of the United Nations and the international community over the killing of pro-Biafra protesters in the southeast.
