APC repudiate Yaguda, Saying he has no relevance coming back to party

The All progressives Congress (APC) has indicated that it is not looking forward to welcoming Malam Isa Yuguda into the party.

The former governor in a letter issued to the state chairman of the party said the misappropriation of the $2.1 billion dollars meant for the purchase of arms was a strong reason responsible for his exit.

He said it was saddening that he was a governor when the money was appropriated but unfortunately, it was embezzled which led to the senseless death of the citizens.

Although he had not announced his next move, there are indications that Yuguda might want to pitch his tent with the APC.

Daily Trust reports that Awwalu Jalla who is the publicity secretary of the APC in Yobe said in Gombe that Yuguda will not bring much relevance to the APC if he joined.

“The party is aware of who really he is, and how the then ANPP uplifted him from the grass to grace but he later betrayed it.”

“APC as a party is not desperate in welcoming him. The party has a constitution whereby no executive member is allowed to accept any individual to the folds of the party without following due process. One must go to his APC ward executives with an application to be cleared and approved before becoming a member.”

Jalla also refuted the rumour that state executives of the APC had asked Yuguda to join them. “The public should disregard any information regarding the party welcoming Yuguda. There is a committee that handles issues relating to defections,” he said
