Legendary musician 'Prince' dies at age 57

One of the most iconic musicians in music history, Prince has died according to breaking news on international media platforms including TMZ and Sky News. His body was discovered at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early Thursday morning, April 21st. He was 57 years old.


Prince had a medical emergency on April 15th that forced his private jet to make an emergency landing in Illinois. He was hospitalized briefly after the incident but appeared at a concert the next day on April 16th (pictured above) where he assured his fans that he was okay. Prior to then, he had canceled two shows due to health problems. His people told TMZ that he had been battling a bad bout of flu.


Eighties pop star and Prince protégée Vanity, who had a hit with the girl-group Vanity 6, died February, 2016 at the same aged of 57.

She set up a GoFundMe page about 6 months ago to raise cash to pay for treatments for her illness, Sclerosis Encapsulating Peritonitis. She had raised a little over $6,000 before her death.

Vanity 6’s 1982 song “Nasty Girl,” which was produced by Prince, became her biggest hit. She also appeared in films, such as “The Last Dragon” and “Action Jackson,” which starred Carl Weathers and Craig T. Nelson.
